Pause For Your Values

Writing this specific article was probably most difficult as I myself struggle between choosing what and when to sacrifice and how to make decisions.

I read somewhere that the hardest kind of resistance is when you’re resisting yourself. I always go back to a passage my friend sent me:

‘When you don’t seem to understand where life is taking you, more than wanting to know the route, what you truly seek is reassurance of the destination. There is always fear of what is to come, the uncertainty with the change, or whether or not the doubt will lead you to something worse than the chaos.  It becomes important to remember that your actions, intentions, decisions, and character lead you to destination, but where they lead you depends on how you face them.’

When the anxiety of where life is taking you overwhelms you, I’ve learnt the best way to deal with things when everything feels important is to ‘pause for your values’. Go back and evaluate your highest values, whether it’s your iman, your health, your family, your studies, or your career. There will always be a decision that will feel right for you at the time. Focus on your intention. Make sure you’re making choices based on your important values, observe patience in your decision and as for the rest, have confidence in what Allah has willed for you. If it was meant for you, Allah will make it clear to you InshaAllah.

As for my tips that’s all I got but let me know as soon as you figure it out, I’d love to know too 💙.
