How Do We React When Our Security Is Shattered?

We overthink, overthink, OVERTHINK! We psychoanalyse the situation and overvalue it to the greatest extent. What could’ve happened? What should’ve happened? What did happen? Repeating to the point of insanity. The moment is constantly replayed in our minds which continues to lower our self-esteem. It's physically and mentally exhausting. These thoughts don’t leave quickly either. It’s replayed for as long as one can remember it.

Even from personal experiences, it’s very difficult to rid of it even years after. Placing you in a constant worry cycle over-obsessing and making you more vulnerable to develop more insecurities without the safety of your self-esteem.

How we should deal with situations that expose our insecurities is most likely different for everyone as our coping mechanisms are all different. In a more general sense though, understanding the insecurity and why you are uncertain about it is vital. Learning about yourself, your triggers, your flaws and building up your self-confidence are keys to dealing with vulnerabilities.
