Brewing Dreams

When reflecting on our passions, we often associate them with activities we've engaged in during our downtime since childhood. Over time, these interests evolve into projects that become integral parts of our adult lives. The journey of life introduces us to various pursuits, and some of these evolve into passions that we seamlessly integrate into our professional and personal fields. Ultimately, we find ourselves pursuing these passions not only for the joy they bring but also for the valuable contributions they make to both our personal and professional well-being.

This article has been inspired by fellow community members who have shaped my understanding of the pursuit of happiness and the belief that if you truly believe you can do something, stick to it and follow it through.

“In the heart of Melbourne, a 23-year-old girl shares a bustling household with 8 siblings and two hardworking immigrant parents. Post-university life feels like a maze of expectations, but this girl, armed with a communication degree, finds solace away from the desk grind. Instead of succumbing to the pressures, she floats through the lively coffee hubs of Melbourne, soaking in the inspiration from the vibrant atmosphere.

Six months post-graduation, she realises her 9-to-5 job doesn't scratch her creative itch. It's in her kitchen, amidst flour and sugar, that she discovers her true passion – baking. Monday afternoons, between work calls, become the canvas for her dreams. Armed with a pen and paper, she sketches out a plan to bring her own coffee hub to the inner west of Melbourne. It's not rebellion against expectations but a daring pursuit of her own path. Her journey unfolds, fueled by the desire to add meaning to her life, taking a bold leap into a realm of possibilities.”
