Health is a key determinant of one’s quality of life. The overall judgment of success in an individual’s health is subjective and depends on one’s personal goals and ambitions.
Success in health in almost all cases equalizes to better performance. Having a holistic approach to health ensures wellbeing as health is not just about the absence of disease but rather a combination of the physical, emotional, spiritual, intellectual, environmental, financial, occupational and social state.
I believe success in any of these categories is determined by two things: realization and commitment. The realization being to first acknowledge where one is and identify room for growth and progression needed to attain ‘success’. Staying committed to your goals is also really important. It’s important to remember that consistency and commitment are key – the road to attaining health is an ongoing process. Set your goals and aim to achieve something every day, whether big or small, and aim to do it one day better than the last.
Staying constantly focused day after day and working on one’s health is a significant task. Its not easy but its definitely vital in ensuring improved quality of life.
